Ukulele Review: Lanikai LU21 Soprano Ukulele
Lanikai LU21 Soprano Ukulele
Lanikai Soprano Ukulele.
Sound The Lanikai needs lots of regular tuning at first, but it has a clean, soft tone and the more you play, the better the sound gets. If you play higher up the fret board it can sound a little out of tune. However, if you are unlikely to be playing higher up than the fifth fret, you won’t have any problems. Overall, the Lanikai Soprano has a great sound and comes with good strings.
Looks Nice looking, nothing too fancy. It is a bit top-heavy, making it a little hard to play standing up without a strap, the neck tends to droop down and take the body with it.
Durability The Lanikai has a bit of a plain finish and the edges of the white binding are quite sharp and hard. However, it has a strong body that will last you until you move on to your next purchase.
Overall This ukulele is one of the most popular entry-level ukuleles. It has 12 frets, white binding and chromeo/ivoriod geared machine heads. For the price, you can’t go wrong with the Lanikai LU-21. A good quality ukulele at an affordable price. Great for beginners who want to learn how to play the ukulele, but don't want to spend too much on their first one.
